Grade 10 Symphonic Winds
The grade 10 Symphonic Winds is an ensemble comprised of approximately 100 dedicated musicians directed by Mr. Cameron Rawlins and Mr.Toby Hindel. Many of the students played together last year, however with a few new additions, they are going to be stronger and better than ever. The students rehearse weekly during morning sectionals on Mondays and Tuesdays and after school on Wednesdays from 3:00-5:00 as a full band. Last year, the ensemble competed for the first time, at MusicFest Canada and ranked gold at both the provincial and national level. This year, the ensemble will enjoy and take part in many great opportunities such as a workshop with conductor Dr. Paula Holcomb, a performance tour to Europe and an invitational that will take place at York University. Not only this, but the ensemble will continue to impress audiences with an exciting array of music at the Trudeau Band Workshop concert, Winter Melodies, Spring Harmonies and Ontario Band Association provincials.
