Grade 12 Wind Symphony
The grade 12 Wind Symphony is Trudeau's senior band directed by Mr. Greg Colley. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 5:15 to 7:15 pm and have sectional rehearsals for brass and woodwinds on Thursday or Friday mornings respectively. Their passion for music over the past three years have made them a very close-knit group of passionate and talented students. Over the past year, the band has performed at the annual Trudeau Band Workshop, Winter Melodies and Spring Harmonies. The Wind Symphony has also participated in the Ontario Band Association (OBA) Concert Band Festival and Musicfest Canada where the ensemble has received two gold ratings. In addition, both the woodwind and brass sections have received awards of excellence for their performance at OBA and the ensemble was recognized as among the finest performers at Musicfest Canada. This year, the grade 12 Wind Symphony will be performing at the Participation House event and Trudeau’s annual concerts as well as participating in this year’s OBA festival and the Greater Toronto Invitational.
